NETEZZA AND SUNOPSIS PARTNER TO PROVIDE USERS RAPID ACCESS TO ENTERPRISE DATA AND ENRICHED BI CAPABILITIES

Partnership Enables Faster Loading of Enterprise Data Warehouses and Quicker ROI

Boston, MA, at the Netezza User Conference — September 19, 2006 — Sunopsis, a technology innovator in the data integration market, and Netezza Corporation, the global data warehouse appliance market leader, today announced a growing partnership and the delivery of solutions aimed at streamlining enterprise data warehousing efforts.

Through collaborative development efforts, the Sunopsis Open Connector for Netezza was designed to integrate the Netezza Performance Server® (NPS®) data warehouse appliance with the leading ETL platform Sunopsis Data Conductor – making it easy for users to load data from disparate sources into the NPS appliance. Joint customers will be able to further leverage the performance, value and simplicity of the combined technologies to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

The Sunopsis Open Connector for Netezza takes advantage of Netezza’s open extensions and utilities and enables users to invoke high performance parallel loaders for the Netezza platform.

“Netezza provides an extremely powerful database engine that is able to process massive amounts of data and perform very complex calculations,” said Yves de Montcheuil, director of Product Marketing, Sunopsis. “Data Conductor’s Extract, Load and Transform (E-LT) architecture leverages the power of the NPS system to process this data with unmatched performance and ROI. Our strategic partnership with Netezza will allow users to quickly and efficiently load and transform data into their data warehouse to further leverage their BI capabilities.”

“As a leader in the commoditized business of international voice services, our ability to manage our business at a very high level of granularity has been an important factor in our success and our continued dramatic growth,” said Paul Floyd, senior vice president of Research and Development, Operations, and Engineering at iBasis. “With more than eight billion records in our database and 140 million transactions registered daily, the data warehousing and business intelligence capabilities we achieve by combining the power of the NPS system and the unique processing capabilities of Sunopsis Data Conductor is going to help us to continue scaling our business and to reach our goal of becoming the #1 provider of international voice services in the world.”

“Data-intensive companies like iBasis, who are looking to process and manage large amounts of data coming from multiple sources, understand the value of this partnership,” said Vishal Daga, director of partner marketing, at Netezza. “We look forward to working with Sunopsis and providing users with streamlined data warehousing capabilities that help to improve the bottom line.”
